There is a lot of information on the subject of transgender inclusion in sport, both good and bad. For those who may not know where to look for it, or may lack the experience to make sense of it, it can be a daunting task to understand what it does or doesn’t say. This library of information will grow and be refined over time, but it serves to be a repository of links to studies, articles, and other forms of information, along with any explanation or analysis that we are able to provide or cite for each. If you see something missing from this library, please feel free to use the contact form on our home page, or send us an email at inquiries@throwproud.com.

Please understand that until we can further detail some of these, there may be some studies or articles in here that may contradict Throw Proud’s stance that transgender women should be included in the gender protected divisions. We will do our best not to add those links until we can annotate them with information detailing what the study or articles authors may have gotten wrong, but from time to time there may be one that misses our notice, or has ambiguous information.

These are studies on the subject of transgender inclusion in sport. We will be adding details over time, to highlight the successes and failures in their designs and execution. Most of those details will come from Appendix A of this study, by the Candian Center for Ethics in Sport. In the meantime, you can look there for any notes they have on any study in the list.
